What does gold-filled mean?
Gold-filled jewelry has a thick layer of real 14k gold mechanically bonded to a base metal. It contains far more gold than gold-plated jewelry, which is only a microscopically thin coating, so it lasts much longer and holds its color with everyday wear.
How is it different from gold-plated or solid gold?
Gold-plated: a very thin coating that can rub off or discolor quickly.
Gold-filled: a thick bonded layer of 14k gold that is durable enough for daily wear.

Can I shower, swim or work out in it?
Yes. Our pieces are made to be worn every day, including in the shower, at the gym and while you sleep. To keep them at their best, we recommend rinsing them with fresh water after the pool or ocean, because chlorine and salt water are tough on all jewelry.
Will it tarnish?
Gold-filled jewelry is highly tarnish-resistant, and with normal wear it keeps its shine for years. Like any metal, it can dull over time with exposure to harsh chemicals, so a quick polish now and then keeps it looking new.
